A life well-lived and a legacy to cherish - that's the story of Maureen Flynn, a beloved member of the Roscommon community. Maureen, born Britton, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the impressive age of 100. Her journey, though brief in illness, was surrounded by the loving care of the staff at Drumderrig House Nursing Home, Boyle.
Maureen leaves behind a family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She is predeceased by her loving husband, John, and siblings Peggy and Pat, as well as her sister-in-law, Nora. Her daughter, Christina Campbell, and son-in-law, William, will carry on her legacy, along with her grandchildren, Alan and Stacy, and Stacy's husband, Seán. The extended family, including nieces, nephews, and neighbors, will also hold dear the memories of Maureen's kind spirit.
But here's where it gets controversial... or at least, a point often missed. In our fast-paced world, we often overlook the importance of taking time to grieve and celebrate the lives of our loved ones. Maureen's family and friends are inviting you to join them in this sacred process.
Maureen's remains will be reposing at Flanagan's Funeral Home, Castleplunkett, on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. A time for reflection and remembrance, followed by a removal to St. Eithne & Fidelma Church, Tulsk. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at Tulsk Cemetery.
For those unable to attend, the family understands and welcomes messages of condolence. You can leave your messages in the book below or send them via email to info@flanaganundertakers.ie.
