A long and gentle life, surrounded by love, now at rest.
Josephine Mahady (née McAndrew) of Balinlena, Carrowmore-Lacken, and formerly of 18 Corcoran Terrace, Ballina, passed away peacefully in her 93rd year, enveloped by her family’s love and the compassionate care of the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ballina.
She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband William, her son Pat, daughter-in-law Rosanne, grandson Aidan, granddaughter Ellen, and her dear sisters Gertie, Evelyn, Florrie, Rita, and Attracta.
Josephine leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that lives on through her children—Geraldine, Maureen, John, Josephine, Deirdre, Rita, and Jacinta—as well as her sisters Frankie, Kathleen, and Eithne. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbors, and a wide circle of friends whose lives she touched deeply.
May her gentle soul find eternal peace.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Josephine’s home in Balinlena (Eircode F26 N6C2) on Monday, December 1st, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 noon in Lacken Church, followed by burial in Rathfran Cemetery.
