Bombardier's New Abu Dhabi Service Center: Elevating Aircraft Maintenance (2026)

Bombardier Expands Its Services Footprint as Abu Dhabi Facility Progresses

Bombardier has revealed notable progress on its new, cutting-edge service center at Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI). Construction is moving forward, with the main building and hangar structure now taking shape, and the facility is on schedule to open in the second half of 2026. This flagship site marks a strategic step in Bombardier’s plan to broaden its global aftersales network and deliver top-tier maintenance capabilities across the Middle East.

“Watching this flagship facility come to life underscores Bombardier’s commitment to providing world-class maintenance in the Middle East,” said Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President of Bombardier Aftermarket Services and Strategy. “Our priority is to be a trusted partner throughout the aviation journey, making each service experience seamless with care, convenience, and confidence. This new center embodies that pledge and complements our #1 ranking in product support for two straight years.”

The 120,000 square foot service center will include a 55,000 square foot hangar, a dedicated parts depot, and a full maintenance portfolio—covering scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support. It will accommodate Bombardier’s latest Global 8000 alongside the Learjet, Challenger, and Global families. Once operational, the facility is expected to create around 100 skilled jobs in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing Bombardier’s footprint in this financial hub and complementing the existing Dubai Line Maintenance Station.

This Abu Dhabi initiative fits Bombardier’s broader strategy to strengthen customer support globally while aligning with Abu Dhabi Airports’ Masterplan for Al Bateen, which aims to elevate the airport as a premier business aviation hub through upgraded infrastructure, advanced service capabilities, and world-class facilities.

In addition to the Abu Dhabi project, Bombardier has announced a multi-phase U.S. expansion this fall, starting with a new service facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The company also disclosed a state-of-the-art paint shop at its London-Biggin Hill service center, underscoring its commitment to comprehensive aftermarket solutions and greater customer convenience worldwide.
