Black Friday Rush: Bay Area Shoppers Line Up Early
Shoppers in the Bay Area were up bright and early on Black Friday, eager to snag the best deals. One particular store, Bass Pro Shops in Brandon, saw an unprecedented turnout, with hundreds of people queuing up from as early as 7 p.m. the night before. The excitement was palpable as shoppers hoped to be among the first to enter and secure a $500 gift card, which was given to the first 250 people.
The store's managers were overwhelmed by the response, estimating that there were between 200 and 400 people in line. The line snaked around the building, a testament to the enthusiasm of the shoppers. Many had arrived early, determined to be the lucky grand prize winner.
One shopper, Hailey Schultz, shared her motivation, "We're here for a $10 gift card at Bass Pro. We thought we'd be among the first, but look at this line! It's clear that Black Friday is a big deal for many, with shoppers willing to wait for hours to get their hands on the best bargains."
